Happy New Year 2014. May this be a year of good health, prosperity and happiness. I finally reached my weight goal today. I woke up this morning and the scale was my friend. I waited along to time to see that number again. Happy new year to me. I hope this year brings in new and healthy recipes, a year of good health and hopefully a much-needed and improved website. Now that Soapnet is gone (I am devastated!), I will have more time to develop recipes, and work on healthy menus. Today I am making mussels in white wine for lunch. I am going to mince a shallot a few cloves of garlic and saute them in olive oil and butter. I will then add white wine and sherry wine. I will then add the cleaned mussels and let them cook until they open. I will serve them over a little pasta to sop up the sauce. I will then let my daughter critique the recipe and I will post the results. The mussels were phenomenal. They were cooked perfect. They were plump, juicy and full of flavor. I posted the recipe on the bonappetitmom recipes page. You really must try this recipe. It is a winner I am also going to work on my discussing diets in 2014 page and I have posted the new page. Please read it and tell me what you think. I wish all of my bonappetitmom.com fans a Happy and Healthy New Year. Stay safe my fans and Bon Appetit.
