What a beautiful day in NY

By : | 2 Comments | On : January 8, 2013 | Category : Uncategorized

It is January 7th and it was 48 °.  I ran to Fairway and I bought steaks. Since I just had my blood work done it was safe to eat meat. I microwaved sweet potatoes and then wrapped them in tinfoil and put them on the grill when I cooked the steaks.  I rubbed the steaks with a little olive oil, salt and pepper. I cooked them on my Ducane Weber grill. I made brussel sprouts, and it was heavenly. I must say I really enjoyed that meal.  I used no butter on the sweet potato. I added a pinch of sea salt and a hit of crushed black pepper.  I hope Fairway does not mind that I am using their name.  I look at it as free advertising. It is going to be an  exceptionally nice week in NY, and I am so happy that I purchased my grill this summer. I do however need one cold day to clean my oven.  Oh well, we still have alot of winter to go. I did use my oven to make turkey meatloaf. It was really good. I took my normal turkey meatloaf and put an extra egg in. I thought it would just add some more flavor which it did, but it gave it a little richness as well. I glazed my turkey meatloaf with bbq sauce and dijon mustard. It really was very flavorful ,if I must say so myself. Stay safe all my fans and Bon Appetit.

A special thank you to the young man at the apple store who told me how to make the degree symbol.
