Missing being a Mom
I really miss being a mom. I especially miss her at meal time. I miss cooking for her, or going out for a bite to eat. I have family and friends, but I miss making dinner and brunch on the weekend. I miss shopping and doing a large cooking on Sunday for meals during the week. Even though my daughter was really not interested in what I was cooking, she was there for the eating. Since she went back to school, I really have not been in the mood to cook. She was my taste tester and best critic. The good news is my daughter will be home next weekend for the new fall break that SUNY New Paltz invented because they took away the Jewish holidays. I want to make her figure friendly favorites. I am going to go shopping and make her favorite dishes, on the healthy side. When I speak to her tonight I will prepare a shopping list of the items she wants me to prepare. I think this is going to be a quiet weekend because of the new found decision from her college. Stay safe my fans and Bon Appetit.

I completely understand because my mom is the exact same way. I go to college in Pennsylvania, and so every time I come home for a break or a holiday, she makes me all of my favorite foods if she can. Food is certainly something that bonds people together, and so I hope that your daughter was really able to appreciate the meals that you made for her. After all, I’m sure they were delicious!

Thank you for the comment. It must be a mom thing. I love cooking for my child. I hope she loves them too.
