Shoprite
When I moved from Canarsie Brooklyn in 1996, I needed to find a new supermarket. I heard rave reviews about Shoprite in Morton Village. Upon my first visit, I was not disappointed. I have been shopping at Shoprite for 17 years. As you know from my other blogs I do shop at other supermarkets in the area, but Shoprite in Morton Village has a special place in my heart. There is another Shoprite on Woodbury Road, but I have been going to Morton Village so long, I call Shoprite in Morton Village my home store. There are many products that I purchase exclusively at Shoprite. First is the seafood department in Morton Village. By far it is the best seafood in the area. I have never had a bad piece of fish from them and their seafood salads are divine. I especially love the halibut salad. It is yummy. I also purchase my chicken and pork products from shoprite as well. They have the best bang for the buck on both. The butcher at Shoprite is very knowledgeable and accommodating. I also purchase food for Mr. Max and his treats. The only bread that Mr. Max is able to chew is Shoprite’s own white bread. I find my paper goods to be the best price in town as well. Shoprites staples for daily household needs offer the best variety and sales. I like the layout of the store. I know where everything is, and I am very comfortable there. When I do shop at Shoprite on Woodbry Road, I go there for a larger selection because the store is bigger. Both stores offer the same quality service from management, and staff. I love my Shoprite for their bakery. The cookies are delicious and reasonably priced. I have also had there heros at many venues that I have attended. I also ordered their Thanksgiving dinner this year. It was a lifesaver. My Shoprites are Plainview’s magical supermarkets and I will always be a loyal Shoprite customer. Stay safe my fans and Bon Appetit.
