I had the wonderful opportunity to dine at Park Place Restaurant and Bar. When walking in you are greeted by a lovely hostess and a nice size crowd at the bar. The bar is a well stocked, sleek and beautiful. The tables are separated by a half wall and it is charming. The tables are nice and comfortable. The restaurant is hip designed in tones of beige and brown. The walls have beautiful pictures also in the brown tones. They have a back room which can hold small parties.
The menus are lovely. Our server gave us three menus. One for specials, for cocktails, wine and beer, and the regular menu. The menu is wonderful. We were told of the specials of the night and then given time to view the menu. They have a wonderful array of starters and salads to choose from. We ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese. This Lobster Mac and Cheese hands down was the finest I ever had. Chunks of fresh lobster and decadent cheesiness was just superb. I enjoyed every rich and tasty bit. From the nice selection of pasta we choose the Short Rib Ragu, slow braised pulled short rib ragu over rigatoni and a dollop of ricotta cheese. This was a very hearty and delicious entree. The pulled rib was fabulous. the sauce was creamy. This was a hit. For the main entree we ordered the Chicken Scarpiello. On the bone organic chicken, sweet sausage, onions, roasted potatoes, cherry pepper and a demi glaze. The chicken was very juicy. The sausage was delish and the cherry pepper added a nice heat. The potatoes were amazing. Crisp and melt in your mouth tender. The desserts were wonderful. The fried oreo in a zeppole batter vanilla bean ice cream was crazy good. We also had the churros and ice cream. Caramel stuffed churro with the ice cream was luscious.
The service at Park Place was just wonderful. Everyone was very sweet and knew the menu perfectly. The restaurant is a classy establishment with a great mixed aged crowd of people. Besides the wonderful in house food, they offer a wonderful catering menu. The portions of food was marvelous and had very generous portions. I would definitely do catering with them. I am definitely planning a return trip to Park Place. It was a very enjoyable experience.
