Turkey is not just for Thanksgiving
I made a turkey yesterday. I made my free turkey from Shoprite. It was delicious. I stuffed the cavity of the turkey with an onion, a lemon, a garlic head sliced in half, salt and pepper. On the outside of the turkey, I smeared butter and evoo on the skin. I also smeared the inside of the breast with butter as well. On the top of the turkey I put, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika. I put in a roasting pan with an onion cut in six pieces. I put about a cup and a half of water into the pan. I covered the turkey with tin foil for the first three hours of cooking and then left the tin foil off for the remaining hour. The skin was crisp and delicious. The turkey was juicy and moist. We all enjoyed it. I also made a salad of mushrooms, celery and sliced brussel sprouts. I made a lemon vinaigrette. It was light and refreshing. Pictures of the finished projects are on my Instagram page. The recipe for the celery, mushroom and brussel sprout salad with lemon vinaigrette is posted on bonappetitmom recipes page. The roast turkey recipe is on the bonappetitmom turkey recipes page. Try these recipes. Stay safe my fans and Bon Appetit.
