Jewish Holiday’s Part II
Yesterday I made my Grandma Hilda’s stuffed cabbage. It came out delicious. Just making that recipe brings me back to my childhood in Boro Park. It is so wonderful that I was cooking my stuffed cabbage my memories went back to dinners at my grandmothers where we all ate in a one bedroom apartment. And we ate off real dishes, and everyone socialized nicely. This morning I made Arflli’s mandel bread. The first batch was the traditional one I was given with the cherries, chocolate chips and walnuts. The second batch I made with almonds, yogurt covered raisins and blueberries.
