Rosh Hashanah is the beginning of the Jewish New Year. It is the holiday of food, feasts and fasts ending with Yom Kipper. The first night of the holiday I cook. I mainly do it for my mom. Yesterday I made my mother’s brisket. I also started on m grandmother’s stuffed cabbage. The recipe for the stuffed cabbage is posted on the bonappetitmom turkey recipes page. Just substitute the ground turkey with ground beef. My mother’s brisket recipe is a family secret. Sorry but there are one or two recipes that I keep in the family vault. Today I will finish my stuffed cabbage and I will make my matzoh balls and chopped liver. To be continued…….Stay safe my fans and Bon Appetit.
