Fast Food II
I took my daughter to Smash Burger in Port Washington. We had tickets to a show and very limited time. We ordered a classic Smash burger, a classic Smash chicken sandwich, an order of onion straws and an order of fried pickles. For my $20.00 I got very greasy food. The chicken sandwich was runny with whatever was coming out of it. My daughter found the same about her burger. The fried onions were very greasy as well.The fried pickles were not as greasy. If time was not a matter of importance, I would have gone to a bistro or diner and for the same $20.00, and would have gotten a much better quality of food. It is truly amazing the difference in the quality of food between fast food places and restaurants. When I go to Snaps Bistro in Wantagh NY, for the same $20.00 I get burgers that are solid well cooked, and the only running are the juices from the burgers itself. It is not really the money, but the whole fast food thing. I know there is a necessity for the fast food world. I must say though that if a restaurant is available over a fast food chain, take the restaurant. You will get a much better product for your buck. Stay safe my fans and Bon Appetit.
