Low Sodium Brisket

Ingredients

  • 4.5 lb. brisket
  • 1/8 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1-2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1-2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 can Sauce Arturo
  • 2 large onions chopped in quaters
  • black cherry seltzer

Instructions

  • Chop the onions into quarters or sixes. Set aside. Prepare your meat and pat it dry. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. Scatter the onions in the bottom of a slow cooker or shallow baking dish.Put the season side down of the meat over the onion side. Repeat the seasoning. Pour the Sauce Arturo over the meat. Rinse the can with the black cherry soda and then add more seltzer up tp cover the onions. Cook in the oven 20 minutes per pound. 2/3 of the time cook covered and uncover for the remaining time. In the slowcooker according to the direction of your slow cooker. Enjoy with a salad or veggies. Bon Appetit.
