Classic Thanksgiving Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 1 cup finely cut celery
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 stick butter unsalted
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 8 cups dry bread cubes
  • 4-6 cups chicken stock or water
  • 2 tbsp. white wine
  • fresh parsley

Instructions

  • In a large pot saute celery, and onion in butter till tender. Stir in seasonings.Place dry bread in the pot. Mix and start adding your liquid till desired consistency. Bake in a preheated 350° F for 30 minutes. At this stage you can cool it and then use to stuff the turkey. The temperature of the turkey and stuffing should be the same.
