GM Club Steak is one of the restaurants in the fabulous group of George Martin’s venues. It is located in the heart of Rockville Centre, NY. When you enter this lovely old world style restaurant, it is just charming. You walk into a beautiful and well stocked bar. As you enter the dining area, you will find sleek tables and banquets with red leather, very inviting and very comfortable. Our server came by with menus and explained how the menu worked. The menu has a nice variety of appetizers and offerings of small and large plates. We started out with a glass of wine. The home made dinner rolls with a honey vanilla butter were perfect together. GM Club Steak has wonderful specials during the week. On Monday night they offer a wonderful price-fixe menu.
We ordered an appetizer of home made potato chips with sea salt and rosemary. These homemade chips were crispy and full of flavor. We ordered off the price-fixe menu. The chopped salad was just delicious. Bursting with flavor from the gorgonzola cheese. It was crisp and refreshing. I ordered the steak with macaroni and cheese. The macaroni was creamy and cheesy. Paired with a beautiful and perfectly cooked steak, with a crisp onion ring topping off the dish. My guest had the steak with the caramelized onions, and parmesan frites. Her steak was cooked to order and her fries were crisp and delicious. To compliment the meal, we ordered dessert. We were given a sampler platter of the most glorious and decadent dishes. On the platter were gelato pops covered in dark, milk, and white chocolate. The organic cheesecake was superb. The nutella crepes with bananas and ice cream was memorable. The sweet potato waffle with ice cream, maple topping and bacon was just exquisite. Plated beautifully on a wood board, this was a meal by itself.
GM Club Steak is truly a magnificent steakhouse. Not only is it a beautiful, old style steakhouse, it is a classy establishment. The service is first rate. Whether you are here for the first time or a returning customer, you are treated like family. The staff is friendly and very accommodating to any and every need. The food is delicious and you get are given very generous portions even on a price-fixe meal. I gaurentee that once you go to a George Martin establishment, you will be a fan forever.
