Deconstructed Stuffed Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage cored and sliced thin
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup uncooked white rice
  • 8 carrots sliced and peeled
  • 4 8oz. cans tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup golden raisins
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt meat
  • 1 tbsp. kosher salt sauce
  • 1 tbsp. pepper
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Instructions

  • In a large dutch oven pour the tomato sauce, rinse each can with water and add it to the tomato sauce. Add the salt and pepper. Add the carrots. Add the sliced cabbage. Cook the sauce till boiled. In a large bowl add the beef, salt, rice and water. Add about a half cup to a cup of water. Add the sugar and vinegar, Take a small ice cream scoop and make small balls of the meat. Add them to the pot with the sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an hour. Stir constantly to avoid sticking. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes. Bon Appetit.
