Harbor Grill is a local pub and restaurant in East Hampton, New York. With a very quaint exterior, it hides the fabulous restaurant and bar inside. The interior reminds me of a college town bar except the drinks here are exceptional. The food is crazy good and the staff are wonderful people and make you feel at home the moment you walk in.
We sat in a roomy booth and our waitress came and told us of the specials. There was also a chalkboard that had the specials on it as well. We ordered the new HG Sampler for an appetizer. The sampler included Mongolian ribs with slaw, shrimp cocktail, guacamole with chips, mozzarella sticks and corn fritters. The Mongolian ribs were fall off the bone tender with and tasted heavenly.The shrimp cocktail had he most fresh shrimp were absolutely succulent. The guacamole was extremely flavorful, the mozzarella sticks were so cheesy, and the corn fritters were divine. I never had corn fritters where you tasted the creaminess of the corn. We gobbled up the Mongolian ribs so fast that we ordered it as one of our entrees. The entree of the Mongolian Ribs came with amazing onion rings and delicious cole slaw. We also had the Baja Fish Tacos. Three full tacos with plump fresh fish, papi’s rice, cabbage salad, pico de gallo and chipolte mayo. One of the best tacos that I ever had with delicious toppings that took these tacos to new heights. We finished off our dinner with a warm fresh strawberry rhubarb pie, served with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream and I enjoyed every bite.
Don’t be deceived by the humble appearance, because once inside and you sip their marvelous cocktails and bite their amazing food, you will realize that fine dining is not exclusive only to a fancy restaurant. The Harbor Grill is a fun filled bar restaurant, that you can sit back and relax, and enjoy their marvelous cuisine. The prices are very reasonable for the upscale Hamptons, so you will be happily surprised that you get quite the bang for the buck. You will definitely want to come back for drinks and excellent pub food.
