Grandma Hilda’s Stuffed Cabbage
Grandma Hilda’s Stuffed Cabbage is a food that I crave not only on holiday’s but on special occasions during the year. I love this recipe whether I make it with ground turkey or ground beef. I love it. The recipe can be found on bonappetitmom turkey recipes page. I love this recipe as it brings back memories of my childhood. I remember watching my grandmother cooking this recipe. I remember the first time I made this recipe. My grandmother wrote down the ingredients but not the amounts of some of the ingredients. She did write down the ingredients, but left out certain instructions on how to carry this process out. I spent a full day just making the sauce. When it finally tasted like my grandmothers I summoned my sister over and we feasted on our grandmother’s favorite dinner. It was so yummy. Memories flashed back to both of us. Memories of our grandparents, our mom came gushing back. It was really a wonderful moment. I would have been horrible if I did not call my brother and invite him, so I did. I also invited my dad over too. But New Jersey and Florida are to far to just stop by and eat. I did however freeze it for both of them. Matter of fact every time I make it, I freeze portions of my grandmother’s recipe for both of them. Stay safe my fans and Bon Appetit.
