Sushi vs Chinese Food The salt Factor

I had sushi the other night. I had a sushi roll and seaweed salad. The next day the scale was up 1 pound. The same thing happens when I eat Chinese food. It must be the salt. As healthy as these foods are suppose to be, they contain a lot of salt. Yesterday, I had salad and chicken and this morning the scale was back to usual. And this is why when the craving for Chinese food comes my way I pass and resist. I know that  I can order Chinese food without the MSG, but it does not taste great, and that alone kills the craving that I have. Salt adds weight. I encourage those people who are dieting now, the best way to lose the weight is to lose the salt. Yes I know sugar is the dirty word, but when it comes down to it, a small amount of a sugar product such as cereal, will not do the damage as eating one packet of a 100 calorie baked snack product. But you also must watch the fat in foods as well. In the deli you must watch out for the heavy and goopy salads. Look at your salads before you purchase them. Look for the chicken salad that is not drowning in mayo. You will find that eating salads with mayo also have salt added in as  well as the mayo. If you need to make a choice of tuna salad or turkey, the turkey is the better option. Also try to get the sandwich without the added cheese. Cheese does have a high salt content. as a condiment, mustard is my number one option. If mayo is a must, I know because I like it, tell them to just give it a very light smear, and emphasis the light. Stay safe my fans and Bon appetit.
