The Holiday’s

The Jewish Holiday’s that I cooked for are over. I cooked for days. I prepped my foods and on Friday when my little house was going to hold 13 for dinner,  the day became chaos. My daughter sent me a picture of what is probably a new infection on her wound line. My front door was finally being installed. When all was said and done, my dinner went over very well even though we did not start eating until 8:00 pm. Everyone had a wonderful time and I had enough food to have fed another 13 people.  My stuffed cabbage was so good. I really miss my grandparents when I make this dish. It This might sound strange. After being with my daughter all winter, spring and summer it was hard to let her go. Then upon her leaving was labor Day, the trip to Delaware, and the holidays. As much as  was cooking, I really wasn’t cooking at the same time. I had so much food with nothing to eat. The house was so empty then full for a moment and then empty again. Now with everybody gone, I have not been cooking. It is so easy to go to Fairway and get a chopped salad and it is cheaper than buying all the different types of produce to make it.  I did make chicken cutlets, and I freeze everything. I am 4.5 pounds to goal.  I think my thyroid might very well in remission. I am now volunteering at Ed Mangano’s  headquaters. He is again running for the County Executive of Nassau County in NY. Today I brought my lunch. the other days I have been fed, sometimes twice. I really love being part of this team. There will be more blogs in the future about Mangano for county executive.  it is getting late. I am looking for some new inspiration to cook for. Stay safe my fans and Bon Appetit.
