I am cooking again
Since my daughter left for school, I have been in a funk. I miss her so much. It is hard to cook for one. I made chicken breasts and I froze them to have some food in the house. I have been eating salad for lunch. I eat chicken with vegetables for dinner. I have been going to Trader Joe’s. They have a great assortment of cut up vegetables, that I roast with olive oil salt and pepper. It comes out really tasty. It is also so much cheaper than buying bulk vegetables, that would go wasted, because I would not be able to eat all of them. I am going to make the ere of Yom Kipper. I am going to make my mother’s brisket. I think I am going to keep it simple this year. It is going to be a busy week. I have not even done my food shopping. I have a turkey in the freezer and I will prepare that too. I think I am going to skip the soup this year. Nobody eats it anyway. I will make stuffed cabbage and sides. I am going to make this very easy. I will make mandel bread and another baked good. I have not decided what I am going to make. I will cook up many items this week and freeze what I can.
