Back to Snaps

Last week my sister, daughter and I had a lovely dinner at Snaps. It was $5.00 burgers and $5.00 truffle fries. While we were there I was told about the Wednesday night special of $5.00 fried chicken. Of course being the foodie that I am, I wanted to try it out. Last night six of us met up at Snaps and we feasted on their fried chicken. First we ordered an appetizer. We ordered the butter poached potato gnocchi in a truffle and parmesan sauce. It is to die for. I must say that it is a new favorite food of mine. It is so rich and decadent. I do not want to think of the calorie count in that dish.  But, it is so good, that in small doses you can enjoy it often. The fried chicken was presented on top of a very light mushroom gravy. The chicken was hot and crispy. The potion size was a half chicken cut into four pieces.  It was not oily or greasy. The chicken was moist and juicy. It was definitely worth the $5.00, and much tastier than KFC. What I love about Snaps is the consistency in the food. I also love the way they use truffles. It is my new favorite condiment to cook with. I would love to see for one week, if Jenna and I ate out in a restaurant or brought in takeout would  we spend more or less money. I am going to do that. I want one week  to experiment and  see how much money I would actually  spend. This would just include lunch and dinner. I always have breakfast food items as staples in the house. Something new to blog about anyway. Stay safe my fans and Bon Appetit.
