Yesterday turned out to be a pretty good and busy day. I helped do fundraising at the high school for “Stand Up For Spencer Cares”. It is a very worthwhile event that I will blog about at another time. I then came home and made dinner. I made turkey burgers and whole wheat pasta. I seasoned the ground turkey with salt and pepper. That is all I used. I did put some evoo in the bottom of a non stick pan and cooked the burgers. Ground turkey has a tendency to stick because it is so lean. I add a little oil, to give the meat a chance to make it to a burger not broken up  ground turkey. I was not making sloppy turkey joe’s. I wanted turkey burgers. My daughter loved the burgers. She said that the burgers had great flavor. Good meat even ground turkey does not need a lot of seasoning. I do believe that I have been guilty of over seasoning my meat. I have learned that salt and pepper is really all you need to grill or broil a good piece of meat. Simple seasoning enhances the flavor of a good piece of meat. Roasting meat usually needs more flavoring such as fresh herbs, that could be because of the longer cooking time. The day is getting busy .
