Mario’s is Wonderful
Certain nights on the weekly calendar are often earmarked for ritual food for dinner. Sunday night for my Italian friends is usually macaroni and gravy. For my Jewish friends it is usually BBQ. I reserve Saturday night for Chinese food. Friday however for me is my favorite. Pizza and ziti from Mario’s in Plainview. There are two Mario’s in Plainview. One is the full service restaurant, the other is the pizzeria. I have eaten at both establishments. My favorite is the pizzeria. I just think the food tastes better. I know they are both owned by the same people but I love the food at the pizzeria better. The recipes are the same. I just think for some reason the food tastes better from the pizzeria. On a Friday night, when my daughter is home, and I ask her what she wants for dinner. I offer her a few choices of different local restaurants on which we can order from. As much as I love to cook I believe in supporting and giving back to the local community restaurants. When push comes to shove, the choices have been narrowed, we are hungry, and a decision must be made. At this point I look at my daughter and we both say Mario’s. It is our comfort place to get food. We have never ever had a bad meal from there. It is our go to place to eat. Mario’s is reasonably priced, has coupons that can actually be used and has the best pizza in Plainview. I am talking of the plain pizza. I love the sauce, the cheese and I love the crust. The ziti is really good too. Sometimes I order it with ricotta cheese in it. There are many pizzerias in Plainview. As far as my taste is concerned on the quality of a plain slice of pizza, Mario’s wins hands down. I also love the service in Mario’s. They know me by name. When I call my order in they actually know who I am. Even to those they do not know the service, is always on point and with smiles. Mario’s accommodates their patrons. It is just a wonderful homey place to eat that offers really good food. Did I mention that the prices are reasonable too? Give Mario’s a try for wonderful pizza experience in Plainview.
