My bolognese was better the 2nd time around
I really believe that when I made turkey bolognese for my daughter two nights ago it was really good. But last night after it was in the fridge for two days, I cooked it up again. It tasted even better then it was the first time. It was thicker and the flavors in the sauce deepened and became more robust. I really believe that food does get better when it sits in the fridge for awhile. But that depends on the different types of food. For example I think soups, stews, and sauces do get better after a few days in the fridge. However salads, like tuna, egg, and chicken salad not so much. Of course any type of salad with lettuce goes flat and wilted. However a pasta salad will hold its flavor. Matter of fact many pasta dishes will also carry their flavor and age better in the fridge. Leftovers are a wonderful thing. I absolutely adore them. Stay safe my fans and Bon Appetit.
