I was right the bolognese was a hit!
I made my Turkey Bolognese last night and my daughter loved it. I served it with her favorite angel hair pasta and it was a hit. She said it was the best meal I made her since our return home. I told you yesterday that she would be happy and I was right. I also thought it was mighty fine. What is great is that we can do it again tomorrow night. However I did not have the same success with the blueberry crisp. I did not follow an exact recipe, which normally in a crisp should not have changed it, but I think I put to much sugar in the recipe. The sugar clumped and crusted on the bottom of the ramekins. The crisp part was delicious. Butter and brown sugar taste great. No matter what you do them except burning them, they are just that good. However my blueberries got to thick. I think I might have addded to much flour, as well as adding to much sugar. I made them in individual ramekins. This way I only ate the few that I made. Although the consistency was off, the flavor was good. Since I really don’t bake, I do need more practice to improve my baking skills. It is going to rain this weekend, I might just try again. It is for that reason that I love to cook much more than I like to bake. When I made the bolognese, I could add and play around with the ingredients and spices. If the consistency is not to my liking, I can play around with it. If it is to thick, I can loosen it by adding some form of liquid. I could add more sock, wine or water. If it is to thin, I can reduce it by cooking it longer after adding more liquids. If it really became to thin, I could always add a thickening agent to get the sauce where I want it to be. Just to let you know it came out really good. I followed my own recipe and it was delicious. I do love to cook. I do not like the clean up. Stay safe my fans and Bon Appetit.
