My sides are the bomb
Last night I made a BBQ for dinner. I made strip steaks and skirt steaks. I have only used my new grill a handful of times. I am not really used to the power of my grill. I definitely need to practice and daylight might help. The steaks came out a bit crispy. I am not sure if the fire was to hot or I left it on to long. However the sides were great. I bought brussel sprouts on the vine. I prepped them by picking them of the stalk, washing them and cutting them in half. I dried them and put them on a sheet tray lined with tin foil. I sprinkled olive oil, salt, pepper and fresh minced garlic. I put them in a 400° F oven for 45 minutes. They came out brown and crispy. I roasted the potatoes in the same way. I made baby Yukon and Yukon blue potatoes. I did the same roasting procedure to them but I added a finely chopped onion. The onion added a great flavor to the potato. I have been requested to make cabbage soup. I need to pull out the slow cooker and get chopping away on my cabbage. I bought beef ribs to add to the soup for flavor. I hope it comes out good. I have not made cabbage soup in a long time. I will let you know tomorrow how my soup turns out. Stay safe my fans and Bon Appetit.
