Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 head red cabbage sliced thin
  • 1 onion sliced thin
  • 1 apple cubed
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinager
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1-2 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1-2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1-2 tsp. ground fennel
  • 1-2 tsp. ground mustard
  • 1 tsp. coriander
  • 1/2 stick butter

Instructions

  • In a dutch oven, saute the onion in the butter. Add the cabbage, apple, stock, apple cider vinegar ,salt, black pepper, and sugar. Add the fennel, mustard and coriander. Stir and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve with holiday brisket. Bon Appetit.
