Huntington, NY is a happening place, and right on Main street you will find IMC Restaurant and Bar. IMC is an upscale, hip and innovated restaurant and bar. When you walk in you are greeted by a lovely hostess and you can go straight to their full stocked and beautiful bar or you can be seated for dinner. The bar is stunning. In between the bottles of liquors, you will see different color lights in pink and purple. In the floor are lights and bottles of liquor, and hanging from the ceiling are beautiful crystal chandeliers. The tables are solid wood and are exquisite. The chairs are very comfortable. In the back of the restaurant are banquets and tables. The tables in the back are placed so that the concave into the wall and can be very romantic. There are electric fireplaces inserted in the walls. It is a lovely touch.
IMC has many wonderful menus. From brunch to dessert, the menus are fabulous. What caught my eye was the Pre Fixe menu. For a very reasonable price, you will get full size portions of food. No skimping here at this establishment. We had the Potato Croquettes, Bacon stuffed with a Truffle Vinaigrette was just over the top. Light and crisp was amazing. We had the Duck PlatterPan Seared Foie Gras, Foie Gras Ganache, Duck Prosciutto, Duck Rilletes, and Duck Salami, Accompanied By Seasonal Accoutrements. This was luxurious. The Butternut Squash Soup with Croutons and Toasted Pumpkin Seeds was velvety and so rich with flavor. The Wedge Salad, Iceberg Lettuce, Double Smoked Bacon, Heirloom Tomato & Homemade Bleu Cheese Dressing was divine. The NY Strip was delicious. It was so juicy. Served with Creamed Spinach it was fabulous. The Wagyu Ribeye was fantastic. All I can say was I did not need my knife. The Lobster Mac and Cheese had a fabulous crunchy breadcrumb topping. Loaded with lobster and creamy cheese, it was decadent. You must leave room for dessert. These were two of most memorable desserts. The IMC Donuts filled with Dulce de Leche, Cinnamon Sugar, Crème Anglaise, were sensational. The Floating Island Soft Merengue, Crème Anglaise, Almonds was perfection.This was a wonderful meal.
The service was impeccable. The waiter was knowledgeable of the restaurant and the menu. Everyone was so friendly and eager to please the customers. We were not rushed to order. The food came out at great intervals. Any and all questions were answered with a smile. When you leave a restaurant full and happy, it is not just eating out. It is a wonderful eating event.
