Newly refinished and reopened, The Springs Tavern located in the very heart of East Hampton, is quite the place. With a historical past, this beautiful and tastefully done establishment is recommended to go for great pub food. Once operated by local residents since 1934, Jackson Pollock one of the owners, this revamped tavern has beautiful paintings of Pollock on many of the walls. Once inside you see their beautiful well stocked bar. With many stools and small tables, by the bar, o the left is a lovely dining area. With beautiful hardwood floors, and new furnishings, there is a certain charm that has carried it through the decades.

The menu is very eclectic. There is something on the menu for everyone. Also available is a full bar with many cocktail specialties to choose from. Everything is cooked fresh and from scratch. I ordered the D&C Lemonade. Made with 44 North Huckleberry Vodka, served with lemonade and blueberries in a tall pint glass, was refreshing and delightful.  Also ordered was the house red wine that was delicious. We ordered the calamari served with a homemade tartar sauce. The calamari was fresh. Bite sized pieces of calamari, hand cut was definitely flavorful and delicious. We also had the fish tacos. fresh cut mahi mahi, was battered and fried to perfection. With cilantro-chili crema, pickled cabbage and pickled onions, it was bursting with flavor. One of the finest fish tacos that I ever had. The bacon cheeseburger was fantastic. Cooked to perfection, garnished with a pickle and served with fresh crispy french fries was superb. The boneless ribeye served over, and with crispy french fries was exquisite. Perfectly cooked medium rare,  soft like butter that just melted in my mouth. This steak was worthy of a great steakhouse entree. Accompanied by a fresh salad, with a homemade  dressing was outstanding. We also shared the brownie sundae for dessert,  that was plated beautifully.

The ambiance of The Springs Tavern is sleek, clean and welcoming to people of all ages. Whether you are a senior or have a young family, or there with your friends,The  Springs Tavern has it all. With the brand new renovations,The  Springs Tavern is just splendid. With a wonderful bar, very friendly staff and excellent cuisine, you will have a marvelous time at The Springs Tavern in East Hampton. I look forward to returning to The Springs Tavern for another excellent meal.
